Free NFL Expert Pick: Eagles -6.5
Sticking with another favorite may feel risky, but this spot sets up well for Philadelphia, especially if the weather plays a role. Potential snow in Philadelphia plays to the Eagles’ strengths. Their dominant offensive line and league-leading rushing attack are built for this kind of game, while the Rams offense may struggle in cold conditions.
While Los Angeles impressed against Minnesota, replicating that performance in Philadelphia is a tall order. The Eagles defense is stout, and the secondary can limit playmakers like Puka Nacua.
On top of that, Philadelphia’s ground game is a nightmare matchup for a Rams defense in the bottom half of the league in rushing yards allowed per attempt. The Eagles’ offensive identity matches up well against the Rams’ vulnerabilities.
These teams met earlier in the season, and while history doesn’t guarantee future results, Philadelphia’s strengths in the trenches and ability to control the clock were evident. Saquon Barkley torched the Rams earlier this year; the Eagles have the potential to do the same with their deep rushing attack.
Eagles -6.5 at -112 is my favorite spot on the board today. I expect Philadelphia to dominate the ground game, force the Rams offense into uncomfortable situations and ultimately cover the spread.
